Not long after we moved here we learned that the A. T. was a 5 minute drive from our house, so we decided to hike a small portion of it last Saturday. Fin lead most of the way by looking for the white rectangles on the trees. Will got tired pretty early, so Daddy ended up carrying him. Actually, daddy ended up carrying both of them at one point! Tazzy loved exploring in the woods and along the trail. It was a beautiful morning.

Oh Deer!
These two fawns showed up as we were eating supper tonight.
Tazzy, of course, alerted us to their presence!

First campfire in our backyard
Smores.
Once Kevin started to play the guitar and sing
we noticed that we had some spectators. A couple
of deer decided to come closer to enjoy the show.
Blackberries
We have blackberries on our property along the front yard
and driveway. The boys and I have been out picking them.
Each time I wonder if we are actually going to come back
with any because the boys eat them by the handfuls as we
are picking them. These pictures don't do it justice, but their
faces and hands are usually evidence of their berry eating
enjoyment.

Lyme Nursery School in Hanover, New Hampshire
Today was an important day in the Markle family as Finley went to his first day of nursery school. The report was good from both Fin and his teachers, so we are hopeful that he is off to a good start!
I already experienced the "mom you don't have to take a picture," and he is only 3! It was a really bright morning, so getting a good picture was challenging, but at least we got a couple to mark this important day.
This year was still hard for Mommy, but little brother had the most trouble as Fin left this morning.
