The advent candle has been a great source of fun for the boys. Each night they could hardly wait to take turns blowing it out.

Bamma and Papa Markle

We were very fortunate to have Bamma and Papa here with us for a few weeks to lend a hand with the boys. They loved having them here for the everyday things and for special outings to the Playhouse and Museum. It was also fun that they could be here for seasonal things like getting a Christmas tree, playing in the snow and attending Fin's Christmas concert at his school.

"O Christmas Tree..."

We went to a tree farm to pick and cut down our tree this year. We were fortunate to have Bamma and Papa here to help us and to get some pictures of the very magical winter day. We took a tractor ride out to the tree area, found our tree and then came back to the farm store for homemade donuts and hot chocolate while they wrapped up our tree for transport.

The Polar Express train ride

The Green Mountain company that runs out of White River Junction Vermont had a "Polar Express" train ride for 2 days only, last weekend. We were lucky to get tickets for such a popular event! We were welcomed by elves as we entered the train, had cookies and hot chocolate given to us by chocolatiers, heard the story of "The Polar Express," stopped at the North Pole to pick up Santa Claus, sang Christmas carols and had a visit by Santa to our train car. The train took us from Vermont into New Hampshire and back, along the Connecticut River. We went with another family from our church who have boys the same age as Fin and Will. It was a lot of fun for the boys and a great memory for us as a family.

Happy Birthday to Mommy

Kevin, Fin, Will, Grammie, Grandpa, Uncle Steve and I all went out

to a restaurant to celebrate my birthday. It was fun having family here to do that.

Grandpa Hannah and Uncle Steve joined Grammie and our family for a
visit towards the end of November. The boys loved having them here.
