Lake MacBride & Coralville Dam

Our first excursion with Leah and Micheala was a hike around Lake Macbride.

 It was strange seeing it mostly frozen as we were wearing shorts! 

 We were trying to see if we could break the ice with the rocks that we were throwing in.

 This turned out to be good therapy for me. My fear of heights mixed with 

watching our boys climb to the top of this rock without an adult, created 

some very anxious moments! 

 This pose reminded us of the shot of the two of them on the Appalachian

 trail when we lived in Hew Hampshire.

Bamma and Papa

While Bamma and Papa were here they jumped into our routines and programs which involved getting the kids to and from school and to hockey, piano and dance classes.

They also helped me strip the wall paper off of the girls bedroom walls to get it ready to paint and then watched the kids so that I could get it painted. Kevin and I also squeezed in a quick trip to Chicago for a couple of days for our Anniversary.

Our Princesses turn 4!

 Our friends and neighbours joined us in celebrating the girls birthday.

 The kids all decorated crowns, swords and wands to wear.
